John Shuman Associate Producer / Chief Financial Officer

 

Mr. Shuman's first foray in the arts and entertainment industry was while he was an undergraduate at the University of Arizona. Along with associate Joel Levin they presented pop, rock and blues acts throughout the southwest.

In 1983 in Andover, Massachusetts he formed Artistic Productions. For their initial presentation, they brought the Boston Pops to Andover for the Gala Opening of the new J. Everett Collins Center for the Performing Arts. At the Collins Center, they presented an annual subscription series that featured artists such as Itzak Perlman, Les Ballet Trocadero de Monte Carlo, Ballet de Montreal, David Copperfield as well as the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre production of The Nutcracker.

Additionally Artistic Productions presented concerts at Mechanics Hall and The Centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts as well as presentations in Rhode Island and a number of other venues in New England. Some of thedr artists included Wayne Newton, Doug Henning and Mel Torme among others.
